Impact2032 Spotlight – Gagnon Dental

Gagnon Dental, a trusted name in oral health care in Kennebec County, is taking meaningful steps to support the well-being of its clients, employees, and the community. Guided by its commitment to health and wellness, the organization aligns its efforts with the goals of Impact2032, making a lasting impact on those it serves.

Currently, Gagnon Dental promotes healthy behaviors by encouraging patients to adopt habits such as eating a balanced diet, avoiding sugary and acidic beverages, drinking water regularly, and refraining from tobacco use. Patient visits include essential oral health guidance, routine screenings such as head and neck exams, and the provision of personalized oral health samples. The team further ensures preparedness for emergencies by maintaining equipment like an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), EpiPens, and other life-saving medications, paired with relevant training for staff.

Employees also benefit from Gagnon Dental’s focus on health. Employees receive free dental care after three months of employment, alongside comprehensive health insurance support. The practice also extends its care to the broader community by accepting MaineCare patients and partnering with the Dental Lifeline Network and Finding our Voices to provide donated dental services. Local organizations, especially youth sports teams, receive financial support to foster opportunities for active, healthy lifestyles.

Looking ahead, Gagnon Dental plans to expand its efforts by educating staff on connecting patients with resources like 211 Maine and community-based tobacco cessation programs. Future considerations include introducing routine head and neck screenings for all patients and equipping the office with NARCAN alongside employee training.

Through these ongoing and upcoming initiatives, Gagnon Dental remains dedicated to advancing health and wellness across Kennebec County, building a healthier future for its clients, team, and community.
